Sep 28, 2020. #1. This is a quick review and detailed measurements of the audio performance of the Panasonic DP-UB820-K. It was purchased in May of this year and kindly sent to me by a member for testing. It costs US $500 so definitely premium priced relative to dirt cheap players you could buy. The hope is that its analog output provides ...

Official Panasonic DP-UB820/824 Owner's Thread (No Price Talk) shipping of this new player is on the way, many of us are waiting their delivery. I got my UB820 last week and still testing. So far I am very happy about my purchase. I am using it directly connected by hdmi to a Sony Oled KD-65A1 and picture quality is stunning.

The Panasonic DP-UB820 essentially looks like the company's UB900, which was the flagship player before the UB9000. That means you get a glossy black box, with a brushed metal top and a reasonably decent level of construction. The build quality is nothing like the UB9000, but that's what you're paying for, and the UB820 remains a well ...

Just switch out the disc both of which are labeled as Dolby ATMOS. So I am not sure if it is me or if the disc really is not Dolby ATMOS. Both movies sound great anyway but just trying to figure all this out. I have a lot to learn. Just looking for a little direction. Sony 77" A80J OLED. Denon AVR-X4700H. Panasonic DP-UB820. Watch this Video regarding the UB9000/820 HDR optimizer. You have a high end TV - my advice is not to skimp on the player. Just get the UB820 and enjoy it, it's a fantastic player. Panasonic TX-65JZ1000B - Panasonic DP-UB9000 - Samsung HW-Q930B - Denon PMA-600NE- Sennheiser HD660S2. .

The 820 is quite a bit larger than the 420. The 820 is smallish compared to my old Oppo, but the 420 is downright dinky. Since the player will be used with a projector, are you using a scope screen. I believe the 820 has adjustable subtitles so they won't be below the image when viewing on a 2:35 or 2:40 width screen.

Sony UBP-X800M2 for € 283: klicks universal player but I don't know if it is possible to play SACDs without a display. Switching on the beamer just to be able to play an SACD is out of question, so if this is necessary I wouldn't play SACDs. Panasonic DP-UB824 for € 419: Klicks the display but misses SACD playback.
